Rich Dad's Guide to Becoming Rich Without Cutting Up Your Credit Cards: Turn "Bad Debt" into "Good Debt" by Robert T. Kiyosaki
For the last year I have been in research trying to understand where I am financially and how I got here. In an afford to understand how to get out of this situation I remembered a book a wise young lady had recommended to me some time ago, so I decided to go back and read this book again. This time around it was a much better read because I took the time to process the information in the book. In 2019, I am encouraged to focusing on lowering my bad debt and increase my cash flow. This is worth cracking if you are looking for a place to start getting a handle on your financial situation.
'Becoming' by Michelle Obama
The buzz started right before Thanksgiving about First Lady Michele Obama’s book coming out and I admired her during President Obama’s tenure at President, so I definitely wanted to see what First Lady Michele Obama had to say. So, during our Thanksgiving beak from work and school I dived in to see what Becoming was all about and I have to say it was an excellent read. She was so open and real about her family. I connected with the First Lady Obama being that my family is apart of the working class family. She definitely didn’t see herself as 1st Lady and I definitely never saw myself where I am in life right now. Her ability to ‘go high when others go low’ has always been my look on life just didn’t know what it was. Really was just striving to make it. The book will def take you on an emotional ride, but definitely worth ever second to read. This has read has definitely given me another level of inspiration to keep pushing and making your vision and dreams of your life come to a reality.
'You Are a Badass®: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life' by Jen Sincero
So, I stumbled across this book as I was searching Audible for something to listen to for some encouragement and continued focus. Stumbling upon this book was for sure awesome. The chapters of this book are straight hilarious some of them, but when I tell you it will make you get off your butt and kick yourself back into action. The inspiring stories in the chapters are really encouraging even tho some of them are hilarious. Now the parts of exercises to help you identify and change the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors are the best. Even tho I look like I got it together, sometimes I are super hard on myself. I often compare myself to people who are twice my age and forget it took them time to get where they are. This is def worth the purchase and forget the CUSS word in the title for the saved folks. It is worth reading.
